The Second GCGI Award for Public Service in the Interest of the Common Good was presented to the School of Economic Science, London, at the 11th Annual International GCGI Conference, held at Cite Universitaire International, Paris.
The Award is given in recognition of the School’s extraordinary and tireless work, offering a truly meaningful education for the common good and selfless service in helping to build a better world. The School has shown that an education based on ancient wisdom can raise the individual to a higher level of awareness, bringing deeper understanding and kinship with all living things.
The Award was presented to Mr. Ian Mason, Principal of the School of Economic Science during the GCGI’s 11th Conference at the Gala Dinner hosted at Maison des Polytechniciens, Paris, on the evening of Tuesday 27th August 2013.

The first GCGI Award for Public Service in the Interest of the Common Good was presented to Dr. Vladimir Ivanovich Yakunin, Founding President of the World Public Forum, “Dialogue of Civilisations” (WPFDC) at the 10th Annual GCGI Conference.
The Award is given in recognition of Dr. Yakunin’s extraordinary and tireless work for peace and justice, and his selfless service in helping to build a better world. He exemplifies the great potential that the Dialogue of Civilisations has to offer towards peaceful co-existence for the common good. He continues to encourage and empower others to discover their own potential for change and to evoke their hidden strengths to bring more goodness into the world.
The Award was presented to Dr. Yakunin at a special ceremony during the Globalisation for the Common Good Initiative’s Tenth Anniversary Gala Dinner hosted at Corpus Christi College, University of Oxford, on the evening of Tuesday 4 September 2012.
